Erwann Kermorvant

Conductor of the 2025 Master Class

Erwann Kermorvant is an eclectic composer. He enjoys freely navigating between genres and disciplines, ranging from short films to feature films and television series. As a favored composer of Olivier Marchal, he is naturally associated with the crime genre, but is equally at ease writing for comedies, action films, and dramas. He effortlessly combines symphonic orchestration with music programming.

His musical training began at the age of 7 at the Conservatory of Lorient, where he discovered the clarinet. Later, he traveled to the United States, where he studied film music under Ralph Grierson, a renowned studio keyboardist in Hollywood. Continuing his pursuit of this path, Erwann attended the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles before specializing in film music at UCLA.
