Mauro est un routier fatigué, en bout de course. Alors qu'il s'apprête à passer la nuit sur une aire d'autoroute, il rencontre un groupe de jeunes, espiègles et mystérieux, à la recherche d'un ami qui s'est égaré dans le bosquet voisin. Intrigué, Mauro propose de les aider. Jusqu'à l'aube, ils le guideront à travers la forêt, pour un voyage aux frontières de la vie et de la mort.
Mauro, an older and weary truck driver, prepares to spend the night at a highway rest stop when he meets four mysterious, mischievous youths searching for a lost friend. Intrigued, Mauro offers to help. They draw him into the neighboring forest and wander till the break of dawn on a journey bordering life and death.
