Erwann Chandon

Short Film Jury | Composer

Recognized as one of the rising figures in film music, Erwann Chandon has distinguished himself through his talent for orchestral composition. Winner of the Michel Legrand Award for Best Emerging Talent in 2021 for La Dernière Vie de Simon by Léo Karmann, he also received the Best Music Award at the Boston Sci-Fi 2022.

After earning a Master’s degree in Musicology (Music Applied to Visual Arts) in 2010, Erwann Chandon joined the CNSMD of Lyon, where he honed his orchestral language and his approach to music for the screen.

Between 2013 and 2016, he participated in prestigious programs such as the Masterclass of the Festival International Music & Cinema Marseille, the "Troisième Personnage" workshop, the "Music Village" at Les Arcs, and the "Trio" artistic residency organized by La Maison du Film.

In 2024, Erwann Chandon composed the orchestral score for the American horror film Wrong Number by Michael Nakache and the crime comedy Nice Girls by Noémie Saglio for Netflix, blending classical composition with modern sounds. He is currently working on the original score for the series Ma mère est une espionne for M6, further solidifying his position among the most promising composers of his generation.
