An eclectic musician and multi-instrumentalist, Jérôme Rebotier moves seamlessly between classical composition, experimental works, and songwriting. Renowned for his work in film and documentary scoring, he is deeply committed to exploring the relationship between music and images—and the images within music—always seeking new creative encounters and collaborations.
He has composed for films by Emmanuel Mouret, Tonie Marshall, Matthieu Delaporte & Alexandre de La Patellière, Philippe Harel, Martin Bourboulon, Laurent Larivière, Delphine Gleize, Valérie Manns, Pierre Coré, and Rafaël Lewandowski, among others. His collaborations extend beyond film, having worked with artists such as Horace Andy, Olivia Ruiz, Hugh Coltman, Agoria, and Nicolas Becker.
Rebotier’s work has been recognized with the third prize in the France Musique-Sacem Film Music Awards for his score for Le Comte de Monte-Cristo, a testament to his distinctive approach to composition. In addition to his musical career, he is also a writer. His debut novel, Dans la cour (Héliopoles Editions, 2023), tells the story of a teenager finding solace in music after a difficult childhood. He is currently working on his next book.
